A study, reported in Journal of Hypertension, September 2006 issue, found that taking 4 brisk 10 minute walks four times a day can decrease your blood pressure for next 11 hours, and that a brisk 40-minute walk can lower your blood pressure for the next seven hours. I have tried to measure this effect, myself, and it seems to be true, try it. Talk your blood pressure, then go for a 10 minute-walk, then wait 5 minutes and take your pressure. The effect isn’t really large, but large enough to be noticeable.
