Q: I have high BP due to emotional stress. Is it better to relax or exercise to reduce anxiety and BP?
A: Both relaxation and a regular exercise program are important in the treatment of hypertension and for stress reduction. Most people find the time to relax but not to exercise. Regular exercise is a great way to relieve stress and is known to lower blood pressure. In my opinion, if you only have time for one activity, choose exercise.
Thank you
Yes, this is very true. I had blood pressure and taking medication for several years. After loosing 60 pounds in a period of 9 months, my BP dropped from 130/85 to 115/70 and nolonger taking any meds. I exercise 5-6 times a week for 30-50 mins. I am 52 and in very good health than I was 25 years ago. check my web http://www.weightlossandculture.com
