Q: Can body building affect blood pressure?
A: Any form of exercise can temporarily elevate blood pressure during the activity.
Over the long run, regular exercise lowers blood pressure. A good body building
program will also include exercises designed to keep the most important muscle
of the body, the heart, in good shape. Unfortunately some body builders also
take unregulated supplements that can harm the body in hopes of bulking up
their muscles. To read more about muscle enhancing supplements go to this article from the Mayo Clinic.

Yes. Body building, especially weight lifting which is anaerobic exercise, can elevate blood pressure. I always do at least 20 minutes of aerobic exercise after lifting weights to help lower blood pressure again. I also use resperate after showering to help bet blood pressure back down after the workout. Hope it helps with your workouts, as well. All the best!!
Also if you breath properly while you are lifting weights Inhale using the diaphram and exhale as you finalize the exsertion It will help lower your blood pressure and teach you to breath not with just the lungs. Oxygen will circulate throughout your entire body. You will feel calm and rested all day long.
