Q: I am a hypertensive person and I sweat at night at times. Is this normal?
A: You did not provide enough information for me to answer your question. It is normal for menopausal women to sweat at night. It is normal in hot climates without air conditioning to sweat at night. It can be normal to sweat at night in response to a different or excessive food and drink. On the other hand, night sweats can be a sign of infection, disease or be a reaction to a drug. You should discuss your symptoms with your doctor. For more information on sweating at night go to this page on MayoClinic.com.
This can be a symptom of andropause in men, as well.
At what age does andropause set in and what are the other signs?
admin,
Is it also normal for you, at times, to ask ridiculous questions? If so, you might want to have your meds adjusted.
Reply tosweating at night comment–My butt(Back side ) sweats in the morning, at night and after I eat. I am on blood pressure meds and have been for years, but I also have IBS , is this from the medication, as it happens when I have high blood pressue, or a symptom of IBS ? No one seems to know.
I will like to know why my blood pressure is high (150/85) when I wake up in the morning. As the day wears out, however, it returns to about normal (130/78).
Thanks,
Joshua
