Q: I was told by my Dr. that I have narrowing of the blood vessels (restriction) to the heart when I am under stress. The heart pumps hard because of Epinepherine therefore causes my blood pressure to go dangerously high. What tests do I need to get to the bottom of the narrowing of the bloodvessels?
A: Your blood fat levels should be tested. All adults should know at least their cholesterol level. Increased blood fats, also known as lipids, increase the risk for narrowing of the blood vessels, atherosclerosis. To learn more about blood fats go to this page at Heart.org. You should also be tested for diabetes. Diabetes increases the risk for blood vessel problems. It is often unrecognized until someone has a heart attack or stroke.
I have had my cholesterol level checked for years and although it was never too high I was put onto statins. Two years ago while on vacation in the Far East I developed breathing problems and ended up having an emergency quad heart by-pass.I was lucky not to have suffered a heart attack. It was a CT scan that showed up the severity of fatty blockages in the small arteries that feed the heart muscle. One was 80% blocked. So what I’m saying is don’t make presumptions that taking statins and other heart medication will keep you clear of future problems when you don’t know what damage is already there that desperately needs treating. I would bet there are many, many people walking about with a ticking time-bomb inside them. Everyone at 60 needs to get themselves investigated thoroughly.
The statins are among the worst poisons ever foisted onto humans – the milk cow herd of big Pharma!
Recent major studies suggest no relationship between cholesterol and heart disease outcomes. Moreover, if you believe cholesterol is a factor, there are natural ways to reduce cholesterol without taking the poisonous statins. One of these is red yeast rice.
Finally, the proper “fats” are the most healthy things that you can put in your body. Purified fish oils rich in Omega 3’s are a godsend to your circulatory system.
Stop just accepting what the AMA drivels out. To find out what they are really up to, follow the green!

What a thing to say to people, that they have a ticking time bomb and only by being tested can they survive. Thinking that way I would live in fear and panic and probably die prematurely. Everybody dies when their time comes and no doctor or test can prevent it. Eat healthy and exercise and try to think more positive and you’ll probably live longer and happier
I certainly didn’t say EVERYONE is a ticking time-bomb.I certainly was and I’m sure there are plenty like me.Most people, thankfully are fine.
Sadly this is probably true. There are a lot of people with conditions they are unaware of and most don’t probably know the truth that many of these conditions can be prevented and reversed with proper diet. We in the western world have the highest rates of diabetes and heart disease compare other areas of the world. The western diet is the culprit.
U got that right,Nick,Just a few weeks ago I read in a health magazine or newsletter that there are more heart disease and high blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes in America than any other country. It also said we consume more fats and sugar and salt than any other country.
Now you have hit on one of the biggest culprits, Jerry…….high fructose corn syrup!
Good fats are extremely good for you. These include fish oil, flax oil, and olive oil.
what if you have narrow veins to begin with?… the MD’s have always had to use pediatric needles on me BEFORE I even developed HBP
It’s a shame that we always get the knee-jerk AMA standard answer on questions when they are put to this forum. There are soooo many better answers to be found in natural therapies!
All the best!!
