In some people, high uric acid levels are linked with heart disease and high blood pressure. Certain, foods high purine compounds can be a cause. In particular consumption of large amounts of meat can be bad. Lowering body weight also appears to lower uric acid levels. The exact interplay of uric acid, highblood pressure and things like level of vitamin D are not understood. A surprising idea is eating cucumbers. Part of the benefit of cucumber may be just increased water intake. Those folks that claim you can reduce high blood pressure by drinking more, may be true for some patients. The extra water may help to flush out uric acid, and it might help in reducing gout, and blood pressure.

How much hibiscus tea can we drink when its so high in fructose? Uric acid increses with this fructose tea?
See #59 in this list. Since hibiscus tea is made from flower petals of hibiscus it is not high in fructose — it not made from fruit, and you don’t have to add fructose sugar to it. In some countries people have been known to drink up to 20 cups per day with little side effects. Not generally thought of as being an uric acid danger — although people can vary.
Keep it coming, wrtisre, this is good stuff.
