Q: Can sitting down all day cause my blood pressure to drop?
A: Blood pressure at rest is lower than blood pressure during activity. However, regular exercise helps to lower blood pressure. Sitting around all day, or having a sedentary lifestyle, increases the risk of getting high blood pressure.
What is considered low blood pressure? Mine averages 94/62 mornings and 102/68 in the afternoon and night time.
Nancy- My medical chart says your 94/62 is Low/Normal and your 102/68 is about the same reading.
Low is 90 and below & 60 and below. So, you’re borderline low.
Hope that helps.

I take a blood pressure prescription medication, and had similar morning low readings.
When I discussed this with my personal care phycian [who was a LICENSED Pharmacist before going to medical school getting his MD].
His response was, “Do you have any dizziness or weaskness during these times of low blood pressure?”
When I responded “No,” he said my BP was not too low, and not to worry about it if I didn’t have dizziness or weakness.
My BP is always the highest when I first get up and move about.185/86 mid morning. 165/85 mid morning.
168/87—————to 199/88 when I first get up and move about.

Will sitting down for a long time cause your blood sugar to go down?
I agree with this answer. Physical activity everyday should have a positive impact on lowering BP over time. Sitting all day won’t help matters, nor will eating unhealthy food full of sodium and easing if down with a few beers. Drink water lots of it and eat copious amounts of fruits, veggies ant whole grains. Natures medicine.
yes, i agree with the answer, physical activity or regular excecise, help to lower BP, eat healthily, and watch your weight, u will get there. good luck
