Q: I stopped taking my anti-depressant medication and my blood pressure is no normal. Is high blood pressure an anti-depressant side effect?
A: Yes, medicine used to treat depression can increase blood pressure. Before prescribing any drug, a doctor must consider the benefits of the medicine against the risks associated with taking the drug.

I wish my doctor had told me that the anti-depressant he put me on would raise my blood pressure. My blood pressure has been higher and now I know why. I think a good doctor should at least didcuss this with his pacient. There is nothing in the literature I received that says the drug will raise blood pressure. I take 15 mg of Mirtazapine every night. No wonder I have no trust in doctors, they can be very dangerous.
I tried going off my anxiety Medicine and my blood pressure went up because my anxiety was worse, so I went back on my anxiety medicine and my blood pressure has lowered. So I do not agree with that.
What exercises can I do to lower my blood pressure?
I just had a doctor prescribe paxel because she said it would help lower my BP. I take 50M of atenonol and my BP is still awful she doesn’t want to increase the BP med because she said it would make me more tired.
So will it or will it not help my BP???
