Q: I have been on a good amount of medication for high blood pressure. If my BP is still consistently over 135/85, is my chance for complications still a threat?
A: The current feeling in medicine is that it is better to have blood pressure below 120/80. However, as you currently are being treated for high blood pressure, being controlled to 135/85 is acceptable. Most doctors would not add the risk of another medication to get your blood pressure lower. However, you might want to talk to your doctor about using the RESPeRATE as an adjunctive treatment.
