Q: My blood pressure is normal to low during the day. About once or twice a month, it goes up to 197/102. I’ve have all kinds of tests. My heart is good; hormones good; doctors can’t treat because if they give me medication when my pressure goes down and I COULD PASS Out. Why do I get these spikes? Please answer me, I am very frustrated, sometimes I shake and slight frontal headache.
A: Without knowing what tests have been done, it is impossible to answer your question. There is no reason you can’t use the Resperate. It does not have any side effects and may help block your spikes. It comes with a guarantee so if you are not happy with your results within 60 days it can be returned.

I have similar experiences with BP spikes and am currently having food panel blood test done to see if I have any sensitivities. Waiting for results.
I also had a variation of this problem in that sometimes my systolic spiked to 200+ (only in the doctors office i.e. the “white coat effect”) then drops to high normal 130’s afterwards. It’s probably a stress response. Sometimes it would jump to 150/80 occasionally. I probably was hypertensive but not all of the time. I haven’t tried Resperate but can tell you daily exercise of 30 minutes (walking/jogging) and Vegan (no oil, dairy) has helped dramatically in stopping spikes. On a bad day now I might see a 130/70, but it now usually stays right around 115/60
Hi, give me information on desperate,
How good is it? Do I need a prescription ?
Gave a Great day, Thanks.
I’ve had the same problem and found that taking some potassium (about 950 mg) helps quite a bit. The shaking stops, and my blood pressure and pulse return to normal.
A vegan diet is the best solution to preventing spikes. I tried an experiment for 4 weeks and the no oil, meat, dairy diet is the ticket. Spikes are caused by blood vessels expanding and contracting. This happens typically from artherosclerosis. Once you start and aggressive nutrition program the endothelium will restore itslef and the arteries will dilate, hence lowered blood pressure. Try it, I’m sure it will be the answer you are looking for. Drugs don’t get to root cause, diet does.
I completely agree that drugs don’t get to the root of the problem. Also the Resperate is $300, so diet and moderate exercise (30 min. walk) seems best. I eat vegan to detox, and I did it for 9 days before. I felt so amazing afterwards. I was able to run without getting winded and I felt light as air. I plan to do that detox 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks each. I know in this modern world things can get pushed aside, but if I don’t put in a little extra effort now, I will suffer later, and I want to avoid that.
I would like to hear exactly what tests were given to you >>( the person who spikes once or twice a month BP wise) a comment was made on not using oil, Olive Oil is wonderful for keeping body joints lubed. However the comment on potassium , the need for more is very true, and I would add most people are low on Magnesium as well. B-12 is found in lean cuts of meat, to go strictly vegan and depend upon supplements I find personally not to work. The root of the problem is what we all want to get at. To throw this or that at the problem is helpful , but to say Cured, that’s the ticket we want to hold.
From what I’ve read, olive oil is not heart healthy, neither is “lean” meat. Both of these contain large amounts of saturated fat which harms the blood vessels. Fruits and vegetable contain large amounts of potassium, magnesium, calcium and Essential Fatty Acids, the key components of heart health. People need to read “Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease” which explains all of this. The people in the test study reversed their disease, those who reverted back to the Western diet did not fare well.
According to the research I’ve done online, the closest scientific explanation to “cured” that I’ve seen written is that all of these heart disease related risk factors are related to endothelial dysfunction, meaning the delicate blood vessel lining has been damaged limiting nitric oxide production. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to expand. The Standard American diet destroys the endothelium, therefore don’t consume the standard american diet but rather a clean plant based diet full of nutrients and antioxidents.
I am on a mainly vegan diet, with occasional cravings for fatty stuff like cheese, or sugar or salt. I found that if I have meals loaded with fats, sugar or salt, that my BP spikes, and I can tell, because I don’t feel too good after these foods. I think I don’t tolerate these foods anymore. Maybe the body perceives them now as ‘toxic’.
I get these symptoms every time we eat out or when invited to friends’ for dinner.
BP fluctuates hourly, daily……..the problem is if it STAYS high for a while then you have an issue. Resparate did not work for me because I was breathing lower than the monitor because of YEARS of Yoga meditation. My “spikes” are due to chronic pain. Everyone is different……..best to know your own body & have a MD or two who LISTEN to you 😉
Went to my heart doctor on Wednesday. As usual, my blood pressure was taken by marching me immediately to a chair, putting the cuff around my arm and starting the process. One quick measure and done. I asked the person taking the pressure why she didn’t comply with the process recommended by the AHA and she asked what that was. I told her and her reply was that the doctor saw so many patients that spending the time to follow the AHA procedure wasn’t feasible. Think I trust what diagnosis and recommendations I get?
Dear Jason, I dont know where you are getting your info regarding oils, but the body requires oil , for the skin, the hair, the organs, the joints, a good oil, not a blend but true Olive oil reduces inflammation, anyone with RA needs to add Olive oil and watch the difference, there are good fats and bad fats, learn the difference. Some people do well on Vegan diets ,and some just do not, not everyone is the same,, are you taking a B-12 shot? I would like to know from where cometh your B-12, there are some countries that start the day with a cup of oil every morning, these people have no RA and live to be over a 100, in the Bible Olive Oil was regarded as part of the diet
Oil on the skin is fine, but oil in the arteries is not a good thing. Olive oil is 15% saturated fat and activates a blood clotting factor as much as butter. I have done plenty of research online and ready research studies on this. Take a look at Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn’s work. It’s the longest research study conducted of it’s kind on the effects of plant based nutrition. I do supplement with B-12 daily in a multivitamin. This is the best approach for maintaining healthy arteries. Consume very little animal protein to prevent atherosclerosis and all of these chronic western diseases completely dissappear.
Dear Ron, Please remember you are hiring this medical group, Demand, do not suggest but demand to have your BP taken at the end of your exam, after you have sat in the Dr’s room at least 15 plus min, and if they do not follow these guide lines you will take your business elsewhere( the girl who took your BP is not a nurse but usually a 3-6 mo training course of very little)
In response to original question of blood pressure spiking and having slight headache. Had similar experience and with help of my physician discovered this is a common reaction to MSG and preservatives sensitivity. Have sense gone mostly (about 98%)all natural foods – no processed. Have seen BP stabilize and no more spiking.
