Q: I have a blood pressure of 150/90 which I’ve been told is due to having sleep apnea. Can this be corrected if I address the sleep apnea?
A: Sleep apnea increases the risk of developing high blood pressure. Treating sleep apnea can help get blood pressure into control. For more information about sleep apnea go to this article on the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute site.

This just is my problem. Is there any way out??
This “doctor” says increases the “risk”, but does it actually, the “risk” cause high or higher bp,(?) acatually you can lower your bp even if you have sleep apena, by adding excerise into your life style and eating the right foods that help lower your bp
Look up what foods help to lower bp. Why not? right?
I have sleep apnea and high BP. I also exercise faithfully and eat a high-fiber diet with loads of veggies and fruit. Haven’t yet found a natural way to control the BP, though I’d love to, so I can throw my meds in the garbage. (I also don’t drink booze or smoke.)
to help sleep apnea, raise the head of your bed at night, you can buy a wedge to put under head of mattress, also try to cut the inflammation in your body by eating less acid foods meat, sugar, salt, dairy, inflammation causes swelling in your airways, throat, body, wt loss can help, exercise your throat by harmonica, singing, whistling.
A few ideas this helped my husband a lot.
April:
I just read your infromation on sleep apnea. I have severe s.a. & have been on a cpap machine for the last 3 years. It was all good until the last 6 months. I have now developed hbp I like your ideas I will give them a try. I will be going to a sleep clinic. The place I got my cpap from says everyone that has s.a. should go to a s. clinic where it can be properly dignosed and get the proper treatment for their problem. Something that should be looked at. I have been looking at the Resparate I believe I will be getting one.
