Q: Is there a relationship to Parkinsons disease & High Blood Pressure?
A: Studies have shown that Parkinson’s disease affects more than just brain cells. It also affects cells in the sympathetic nervous system. Also, drugs used to treat Parkinson’s disease affect blood pressure. Because of both of these, many people with Parkinson’s experience dizziness when they stand up due to low blood pressure. Excuse me, but I think she was inquiring about a causal relationship. Giving a little more serious attention to the questions would be helpful.
I have to agree with D. Carestia. This was one of the worst answers I have seen. I’m very interested to know if there is any relationship with having high blood pressure and then getting Parkinson’s disease, which is what I believe the question was asking. The link that was provided for more information was also useless and seemed to have been written by someone with no medical background and very little knowledge of Parkinson’s Disease. Yes, pay more attention to the questions and spend a little more time and effort providing a proper answer.
