Q: Dr. Is it true that taking the medication to lower cholesterol (statins) have a high risk of cancer and impotency for men, base on the German Dr.
A: Recent studies suggest that there is not an increased risk cancer from taking statins to lower cholesterol (see this article on the American Council on Science and Health’ s site and Statins and cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis. – Kuoppala J – Eur J Cancer – 01-OCT-2008; 44(15): 2122-32) On the other hand, statins may contribute to erectile dysfunction in men. When all the hidden truths about the statin drugs come out, if the establishment ever allows that to happen, people are going to be shocked at the terrible toxin that doctors have been administering to their patients for decades now. It is amazing the way the drug companies have worked the medical system to generate their profits at the expense of loss of health to the population, IMHO. Information abounds on the negative side effects of the statin drugs. Simply google it to find out. I have had excellent results, as have literally thousands of others, bringing cholesterol down into very favorable ranges using red yeast rice, niacin (not time release), and policosanol instead. These are working with much less risk to my heart, liver, brain, and joints! All the best!!
I also have side effects from taking statin drugs, where can I get red yeast rice? does my doctor have ot prescribe it? Thanks in advance.
I a 72 yo was on this poison for 6 months and I became anorgasmic not impotent. When my muscles started tearing with moderate but sudden exertion on my part I dumped the rubbish. I take niacin now to increase my HDL cholesterol which was lower than normal, and I just ignore the LDL which which is mid range of the so called normal. If you want to stay healthy stay away from doctors.
I am 79 with with the same experience. I take red rice yeast and plant sterols , my cholest was 242 and after 2 mos. is 183. Thanks, JOE
Red yeast is a naturally occurring statin also with side effects
Where can I get red yeast rice? I’m also having problems with side effects from statins.
red yeast rice can be purchased at any health food store, some drugstores, and swanson-vitamins on-line.red yeast rice is very inexpensive unlike the statins.
Statins do have many sideeffects. One of them is cancer (If I remember well, the name of the study to show this: PROSPECT.)
Since statins block Q10 synthesis in the body, sideeffects are unavoidable…
