Q: What is the relation between high blood pressure and bad sleep during the night?
A: Not sleeping well, insomnia increases your risk of getting high blood pressure. For some tips about getting a good night’s rest go to this page at HealthySleep.med.edu. Many Resperate users report that in addition to lowering their pressure, the Resperate helps them sleep better.
“Bad sleep” can refer to sleep apnea. Is that what you are talking about? Sleep apnea is a significant factor in many types of cardiovascular disease including hypertension. There are ways to treat sleep apnea and overcome those health problems! All the best!!

Sleep Apnea definitely can cause HBP. My brother is overweight, has sleep apnea and drinks too much and his BP is way too high. I told him to stop drinking, exercise and lose weight and all the problems will likely go away.
My Dr laughed when I asked him about Resperate. Said it was a waste of money
Let him chuckle and get it anyway. I have had mine for 4 years and I notice a distinct difference when I don’t use it regularly. From the beginning of the session to the end, my upper number can drop 15 points. I am down to 25% of the medication originally prescribed and I have found that if I use my resperate at night, I sleep much better. Try it and you can have the last laugh.
I’m glad someone had success with Resperate. I bought mine early on in my treatment but couldn’t say for sure if it actually worked or not. It seems like my numbers dropped immediately after use in the evening but jumped back up the next morning. The only thing that worked for me was medication but I stopped that due to awful side effect. Fortunately, diet, supplements and exercie work just as well as meds. I’m off all meds in 3 months!
I am in the process of doing my research on the resperate? What supplements did you use in conjunction with the diet and exercise? Looking forward to your reply.
Get yourself a better Dr.! Wow, many people with HBP breathe poorly.
Sounds like a doctor who’s been bought by the big pharma companies! I too have been using my Resperate since 2006 initially to control my BP. Shortly there after, I started using it right before I go to bed and immediately noticed better sleep! One of my better investments. Controlled BP & good night’s sleep!
These doctors are a complete joke these days. They chew you out for having HBP and then hand you an Rx with horrible side effects. I fired two of my doctors for this after almost passing out on several occasions because they overmedicated me. Go to an alternative doc and change to a strict diet and exercise vigorously. Since I changed all of this I’m back to 115/65 consistently.
Anytime i don’t sleep well my bp normally shoots up. So i believe theres a relationship between sleep and bp.
I agree, will try using my respirate before going to bed
Same here.there is a direct correlation between lack of sleep a bp going up, at least in my experience.
I have had to cope with this insomnia for several years and I can authoritativley confirm from my experience that lack of sleep increases BP. If not for lack of sleep I cannot say i have HBP, because each time I sleep for atleast for 5hrs my blood pressure become normal. I couldnt sleep well for more than 2 months and had buzzing in my ears for more than 6 months now. i need help to stop this nuisance.
My doctor not only knows about Resperate, but encourages patients to use it. She and her colleagues also recommend hibiscus tea. I have been drinking it for years and I think it helps (not a miracle, but some help.)
Resperate does not work for everyone. It made my blood pressure go up every time I used it so returned the unit. My doctor was not thrilled about it either but I make my own decisions as doctors don’t always know everything. I have brought mine down with natural treatments.
Milner, please check the way you were using it. Make sure you are well relaxed and that you breath normally without over stretching yourself to achieve the lowest breath per minute. When I first started using Resperate I experienced the problems you talked about. I had a chart with Resperate and I was counselled on how to properly use the equipment. The result has been wonderful since then.
I have moderately high bp. All medications tried had horrific side-effects and didn’t seem to lower my bp anyway.
I did buy a Resperate machine, had no trouble using it but my bp went up.
I sleep very well, have no apnoea, but have to get up 2 or 3 times a night to pee.
I can’t see any resolution for me……… I seem to be stymied at every turn.
Nevertheless, I feel extremely well and find it hard to get anxious about my bp (or, indeed, anything else)!
I would love to know what natural treatment you used. I am trying to make a decision about coming off BP med’s?
HI – AFTER TAKING BP TABLETS MY BODY LOOKED LIKE A MICHELIN MAN . MY DOCTOR GAVE ME WATER RETENTION TABLETS, BUT ALSO NEEDED TO GIVE ME ADDITIONAL BP TABLETS TO MAKE UP FOR ADDITIONAL LOSS OF DRUG DUE TO USING THE WATER TABLETS.
THE RESULT WAS, I WAS UP SEVERAL TIMES IN THE NIGHT AND MY SLEEP WAS VERY SPASMODIC.
NO EASY ANSWER THERE

From experience, there is a very direct relationship between Stress, insomnia and High Blood Pressure. Whenever I am stressed up I found it difficult to sleep and whenver I could not sleep my Blood Pressure goes up. The only answer I found is Resperate. Since I discovered it, I have recommended it and given it as a gift to my beloved ones. It is a pity we cannot find it to buy in Nigeria but have to always order it through intermidiary from the USA. How can you help us in this regard, I am willing to partiner with Resperate.
Smoothies and juices is the natural way try it. Put more Fruit and vegetables in your diet.
