Q: Has anyone ever given any feedback about the effects of using Resperate for someone with Atrial Fibrillation? I have recently developed it and wondered if use of the Resperate might have a favorable effect. I use it daily, sometimes twice a day.
A: The RESPeRATE is not a treatment for atrial fibrillation. If your heart beat isn’t staying controlled, go see your doctor. Over time, it can become harder to control atrial fibrillation. Drugs often need to be increased or changed. Sometimes surgical ablation is recommended. To learn more about this common problem, click here.
Please Note: Do not use RESPeRATE without consulting your physician if you suffer or have suffered in the past from: Active ischemic heart disease/unstable angina, bradycardia, severe congestive heart failure, chronic atrial fibrillation, stroke resulting in permanent impairment, chronic renal failure, severe asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis and emphysema, major organ failure, sleep paralysis, have a pacemaker or if you are pregnant.

Hi I have AF so know something about it. I use my Resperate for bp but I am sure its helpful for AF. Drs put me on meds for mine but I weaned off and replaced with magnesium/CoQ10/E/fish oil/garlic/Hawthorn and other herbs. I have not had an episode since last year. Please go to http://www.afibbers.net/forum/list.php?f=9 for great information. Also get Dr Sherry Roger’s book Is Your Cardiologist Killing You for info on supplements.
Drugs and surgery….even ablation, destroying heart tissue…..there you go.
Resperate is designed to help reduce hypertension. If you have hypertension and irregular heart rhythm, the resperate only address the hypertension as far as I know.
Here’s a thought……if you can feel the contractions, then you can guage whehter resperate has a negative effect. If I could use resperate without exacerbating irregular heartbeat, then I would use it to lower blood pressure. If my heartbeat consistency worsens, then I would stop using it.
All the best to you!!
Is AFIB a problem one keeps? Not for me anyway. I ended up in the hospital in 1992 with atrial fibrillation (pulse was at 180 for hours) and left a day later with no afib. The doctor said it was caused by stress.
Dennis are you saying you have never had a repeat episode of AF? That would be very encouraging as Drs told me its not IF I get it again but WHEN.
…I just can repeat what this person said before me:
