Q: I’ve just begun to use Resperate. When I’m on my exercise bike, is it OK to breathe in slowly, then breathe out through pursed lips to prolong exhalation? Is it OK to do this in other situations where I tend to tense up?
A: In my opinion it is fine to practice yoga type breathing during exercise and stressful
situations. The power of the breath has been known for centuries.

I save the relaxtion breathing from resperate for quiet, relaxed times. For exercise, I concentrate on nose breathing. I am not sure if you are familiar with this, so here is a link for the benefits: http://www.breathing.com/articles/nose-breathing.htm
During exercise I would do nose breathing in a fashion that gave my body the extra oxygen that healthy aerobic exercise demands through unrestricted, but systematic, nose breathing.
All the best to you!
